- Evidence is now expected. CSRD, SECR and SDR no longer accept a figure on its own. They ask how it was captured, by whom, and whether anyone can check it.
- Most estates cannot show it. The waste figure comes from a contractor’s monthly summary, the energy figure from another system, and the two disagree. Most ESG reporting is an estimate wearing a decimal point.
- The fix is at the source. Capture the record where the work happens and the number and its proof become one thing, created the moment the bin is weighed or the job is signed off.
